Babasaheb Purandare Books (Part 3)

Title: Mujryache Mankari




Author: Babasaheb Purandare

Mujryache Mankari is one of the many prominent compilations of Shri Babasaheb Purandare. Similar to many of his other books this book also deals with the Maratha Empire and the greatest warrior of this clan - Chhatrapatti Shivaji Maharaj. It is a short novel that comprises of only 71 pages making it suitable for children to read and understand.

Title: Purandare Cha Sarkarwada





Author: Babasaheb Purandare

A book that narrates the story of a historic palace and significant events that took place there. The author has also shared few of his personal experiences and views in this book. However, it cannot be termed as an autobiography. It contains a number of stories that has comprises of around 116 pages in total.

Title: Purandarayanchi Daulat




Author: Babasaheb Purandare

The author narrates stories regarding the rule of Peshwa dynasty and their contribution towards the great Maratha Empire. It is a compilation of number of short stories containing 123 pages in total. Bajirao Peshwa 1 was the most eminent ruler of the Peshwa dynasty. The book besides containing stories regarding this powerful ruler also contains short description and stories regarding his horse.

Author: Babasaheb Purandare 

It is a short novel written by Babasaheb Purandare. The  book consists of only 56 pages and is available in Marathi language only. Although the book is short it is definitely one of the many good reads written by the author.

Title: Purandar Cha Buruja Varun




Author: Babasaheb Purandare 

A book that not only narrates stories of eminent historical characters such as Nizam, Aurangazeb, Peshwas etc; but also describes the culture, tradition and life style prevalent in those times. According to the author, this book has been compiled to illuminate various interesting  facts that relate to the period of Shivaji rule and Maratha Empire. It contains numerous short stories making it an interesting read for children as well as adults.
